Based in
The collective invite artists and creatives to work together, often leaving individual practice at the door and resulting in a fusion of collaboration, performance, happenings and live work.
Taking up residency wherever they are invited and experimenting with a unique model of working; they create and curate events spanning from a few hours to weeks.
From the 10-17th April, as part of the
The New Works Programme is an innovative new scheme from
Utilizing The Engine Room – the street level space behind the glass façade on
‘The End of the Line will turn the space into an 'events and ideas arena’ from 10th – 14th April, in which the viewer is enticed into interactive situations.
The viewer will be confronted with a space somewhere between a studio, theatre and living room, where the creative process is elevated to the same status as the outcome. An environment where the audience can be directly involved in, or influence the art being created.
Events will be as varied as participant based lectures, show and tell, interactive artworks, performance and music.
The finale will be a celebratory event on the evening of the 14th April – where all ideas and art discovered and created will be showcased in a sort of cultural barrage of live work.
An exploration of documentation will then be held in The Engine Room, from the 15th to 17th April, where individuals involved will investigate methods of capturing the events, and if this is possible.
This will include the production of an accompanying publication in which all contributing individuals will be given an opportunity to express their response to the project, which will be for sale in The Exchange shop.
Everyone is invited throughout the event to drop in or come and stay for a while. Be a spectator, participator or contributor,10th – 17th April. Gallery hours

On 10th 14th April, The End of The Line will take over The Engine Room at The Exchange Art Gallery,
Focused on the idea of skill sharing, the collective will turn the space into an 'ideas arena', a creative swap shop where thoughts and ideas are produced, offered, accepted and exchanged.
The project will culminate in a final evening event – a melting pot of everything that’s happened over the last 5 days.
We are looking for artists, performers, creatives, and anyone with a passion for sharing skills to be involved and run events in the programme.
Events will be as varied as arts based discussion, participant based lectures delivered by enthusiasts, show and tell, interactive artworks, performance and music.
This is the ideal opportunity to try out any audience led ideas with the help of The End of The Line!
Throughout the project we will develop an accompanying publication, providing a more permanent form of presenting ideas.
Each contributing individual will have the opportunity to contribute a page about their work and response to the project.
